A kindergartener walks past a wall of memories that was not decorated past the month of February in light of the school moving to virtual learning amid the COVID-19 pandemic on August 6, 2020, at Stokes-Beard Elementary in Columbus, Ms. It was the schools first day of what will be a hybrid learning environment. Many of the school’s children do not have wifi at home or who’s parents can’t be home during the school day, so the school had adopted a hybrid system in hopes to offer a flexible learning platform to children.
