Travis Day, trainer at American Top Team, stretches prior to conditioning drills. Day frequents the gym three times a week to overlook his multi -combat training peers. Since the birth of his son and transition towards a father figure, Day continues to stay in shape but stears away from participating in major fights. 'I just don't have the time it takes to balance the two,' he says. 'I much rather care for my family.'

Roller Derby Fall
Anna Fuenning, who skates for the Gang Green derby team as Devilynn Wheels, lays in frustration after being shoved outside the track during the final period of the No Coast Derby Girls debut Roller Brawl at the Pershing Auditorium on Saturday night. Fuenning was the designated 'jammer,' a player designated to pass opponents for points without being knocked out of bounds. Gang Green lost the game 107-93 to fellow No Coast Derby Girls team Mary Kay Mafia.

Roping
Al Valentine, 35, of Nelsonville, practices roping cows at Willow Run Ranch in Athens County on Saturday, January 29th. Valentine works at Smoke Rise Ranch in Nelsonville, but he often travels to other farms and ranches to do clinics. The cow roping clinic was offered to the public as a way for farm-owners/workers to learn how to rope and maintain their cow heards.
