CPOY 71 Documentary Award of Excellence: Cazucá: afro-colombian displacement

In the last 10 years, afro-colombians from the Pacific Coast have been the most affected by displacement caused by internal conflict, violence of narcotrafic and illegal mining and structural poverty. Hundreds of thousands of people have fled their houses, and many have arrived to Bogotá's poorest neighborhoods and their surroundings. Cazucá is a district in Soacha —a neighbouring municipality—, one of the places where more displaced afro-colombian have arrived in late years. This is a story about their life and resilience, but also about the violence that re-victimizes them.
