CPOY 73 Documentary Bronze: Growing with Cancer

One childhood cancer diagnosis is enough for any parent to endure for a lifetime- but four diagnoses is purely unimaginable. The Kwiecien family has been battling cancer since 2013, when their then 2 year-old-daughter, Kailee, was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma, a rare pediatric muscular cancer. The family received her fourth diagnosis on Friday the 13th, just 3 months after she had completed treatment of her 3rd diagnosis. Unfortunately ‘normal’ for them revolved around countless treatments, blood draws and doctors’ visits.

"She's been complaining about stomach pain lately, so I don't know how I feel. But then yesterday a clam just came over me, so we will see," Catherine said.
