Mahr and Samina participate in a Yazidi wedding celebration outside the Bajed Kandala Yazidi displacement camp. The girls were among several hundred from the Yazidi community to attend the wedding of Samir and Amera. After fleeing the August 2014 ISIS attack on Sinjar, both girls arrived to the camp before their fifth birthdays and shared that they cannot remember much about their homes or their former lives in Sinjar.
