Hector Mercado, “Juny Lany Mercado Ahorrio”, 36, Yamaha Raptor Mercado came to Rochester from Cleveland, Ohio five years ago, after originally immigrating to the United States from Puerto Rico to be with his family. When Mercado arrived in Rochester, he did not know anyone besides his family. “I was riding alone one day, and I ran into Sam,” said Mercado. “Since then, I’ve been riding with the group ever since.” Since finding the community here in Rochester, Mercado said it is like how it is in Puerto Rico, like a family.
