Estes has been a family friend of the Zhang's since they came to the area five years ago. Nine days earlier, Yong Hui Zhang, 24, was attacked, robbed and abducted while making a delivery for his family's restaurant, China Express. Three days later his body was found stabbed to death, with one ear cut off and an eye gouged out, in a remote, wooded area of Sussex County. The suspect, who was later apprehended, called in a fake delivery to an abandoned apartment building and ambushed the young deliveryman. The man accused, Jermaine Lamonte Montgomery, 34, was charged with capital murder and Virginia Commonwealth's Attorney Bill Neely said he will seek the death penalty.
