Robert is adopted. He is 18 years of age. If he wasn't adopted he would properly be one out of 30.000 children in the U.S who is "Ageing out" in the foster care system every year. Left to themselves without support. There are 400.000 children in the foster care system. The majority are placed parents abuse and neglect. Around 104.000 children are waiting for adoption. The foster kids are having around three different homes, but it’s not unusual that kids are being placed in up to 20 different homes. Half of the children in the system are whites. Later statistics shows that 30% of the homeless people and 25% of the inmates in prison have been in contact with the foster care system
