This is Hiroto Ohhara competing in the Vans 2015 US Open of Surfing on Aug. 2, 2015 in Huntington Beach, Calif. Ohhara does a bottom turn and goes completely vertical on the wave during the final. He took first place and became the first Japanese surfer to win the US Open of Surfing.
