Nelli, a fromer farmer lady, is staying crying in her kitchen, in her house in Nevelske. Place: Nevelske; Oblast Donetsk; East Ukraine.She is holding a hand crafted piece which her grand son made for her. He and his Parents are living on crimea. They haven't seen each other since the conflict starts and they only have rare contact possibilities. Her grand son is in his teenage years and is going to join the naval forces of crimea soon. She told me, that the education system in the occupied territories changed really fast and the children get kind of brainwashed to grow up with a pro russian mind. While we were talking, there was the radio turned on which was recieving only the DNR (Donetsk People's Republic) broadcast. There was a newscast coming up during our stay at Nellas house, which provides fear spreading news about the West Ukraine. She said that the DNR wants to keep the people uninformed and make them stay in the seperatists region. Circumstances: I was listening to her while she talks about her family and her grandson. During this she started to cry and I thought a few seconds about taking a potograph of this situations because it was really intimate and sad, but this was an important moment for the story and I took a couple of picturs of her in this situaiton.
