Aqqaluk Abelsen is one of the opponents towards the mining project at Kvanefjeld. He lives in Narsaq, that is situated only a few kilometers from Kvanefjeld, and therefore he is closely connected to the conflict. He can see the economic benefits of the project, but he still thinks that the risk is way too high. He loves to go and ride his snowmobile in the mountains together with his friends and family. Both for the sake of adrenaline, but also as a way of getting around to other towns in the winter. If the mine comes, this will no longer be an option, because the mountains around Narsaq will be closed for entry.
