The only butchery in Greenland, Neqi A/S, is located in Narsaq, and it’s the place where most of the people from the town are employed. The mining project is also feared by Neqi A/S. First of all because the mine will attract a lot of their labor due to higher salaries. But they also fear that no one will buy meat from them anymore, because they are placed so close to Kvanefjeld, and therefore people will fear that their meat is polluted.
