Yvonne Guest strokes the forehead of her brother-in-law Dan Nagele as he lies in bed at his home in Avon, N.Y. Nagele’s adopted daughters Kyra Nagele, 18 (left) and Shanna Cunningham, 25 (right), console Dan shortly before he died on Monday, February 16, 2015. Dan suffered from Nonalcoholic Steatohepatitis disease, (NASH) which is a fatal liver disease that resembles alcohol liver disease, but occurs in people who drink little or no alcohol. Because Dan's wife, Loretta died in 2009 from cancer, his death left Kyra and Shanna with no parents.
