The Philippines is widely known as a 'Catholic Nation'. Home to at least 80 million Catholics, the Philippines is the only predominantly Christian country in Asia. Yet beyond the title of a “Catholic Nation” there are smaller and less known Christian communities in the Philippines. The LGBTQ Christian Churches in the Philippines is one such case. Evangelizing based on the teachings of Jesus Christ and the Bible, the LGBTQ Christians practice inclusivity and diversity with their open acceptance of both Heterosexual and Homosexual Christians and support for same-sex unions. They are carving their own enclave in a predominantly conservative Catholic country to reach out to those who are often ostracize by traditional values. They believe that their Church affirms what Christianity is all about – a Church of Love.
