Gert Ravn collects amber at Vejers Beach like he has done since 1978. Amber is also known as “The Gold of the North” and it has been a valued possession historically and still is today. Gert knows several persons who had bought house and cars in Spain only by selling amber to China. Amber is 40 million years old and made of the resin of extinct species of trees.
