CPOY 72 Portfolio Gold, College Photographer of the Year: Mathias Svold

A body of work that showcases a photographer's vision and demonstrates versatility, expertise and depth. Minimum Requirements: Must include at least one entry from a multiple picture category (9-12) and entries from at least two other still image categories (1- 12). 50 images maximum. Multimedia stories (15-18) may not be included.

Climate changes lead to rising sea levels and the ocean eats it way into the land and swallows houses, churches and fields. The house ‘Åklit’ has been located behind the sand hills of the West Coast since 1934. But two years ago the sand hills was eaten by the sea and this winter the ocean moved the house to the beach during a storm. Now it is in the process of decaying.
