Kaylane Campos, 17, lights a candle dressed up with traditional Candomble costumes, an afro brazilian religion, at her house and temple, in the North Zone of Rio. Kaylane was hit by a stone when she was 11 years-old after she walked in front of Silas Malafaia's church dressed in Candomble traditional clothes. The hit cut her head and she went to the hospital. Since 2015, when her case happened, Kaylane became a symbol against religious intolerance in Rio de Janeiro. Even so, the number of religious racism cases reported are growing up. In 2019, from January to September there were more than 200 cases, whereas in 2018 there were 92.
