Two elderly with walking disabilities were placed in a luggage space on a bus during an emergency evacuation in Bakhmut, Donbas on Monday, May 23, 2022, their home was destroyed earlier the same day. Bakhmut stands as the logistic hub and strategic city for the Ukrainian forces, the city was under heavy shelling from the Russian forces 24/7, with the city constantly being cut off electricity, water and gas supply.
