Mike Mangili has been surrounded by college football, including playing, coaching, and managing equipment. He was most recently an equipment assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s football program, where he maintained helmets, shoulder pads, and laundry of 120 Division 1 athletes. One of Mangili’s sons also played for the team as a specialist, which led to Mangili’s facility nickname “Pops.”
