Michael Taurino III’s “Mikey Anarchy” scared back from years of deathmatch in Timberville, VA on Oct. 6, 2024. Death match wrestlers often compare themselves to the island of misfit toys, where they don’t fit anywhere else, but they made their own community. “Quite frankly to some we look like idiots. See people, they’re quick to not peel back that first layer. For me, it’s been finding my place in life in the world. This is where I met some of the best people I have ever met, the best humans. The one’s that have been there for me. It’s gotten me through breakups, it’s gotten me through deaths, it’s gotten me through practically everything. Honestly I don’t think I would be alive without deathmatch wrestling.” States Mickey Anarchy when asked why he does deathmatch.
