A passenger plane carrying eighty-four passengers on its way to the Congolese capital of Kinshasa crashed into a crowded marketplace in the DR Congo town of Goma, April 15, 2008, shortly after take-off. The official death toll was said to be forty-seven, and many more critically wounded.
