Winona Fire Department Capt. Curt Bittle pulled a dog from Lake Winona in Winona, Minn., on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007, after a driver along the lake spotted three dogs in the open water. Two of the dogs were able to free themselves from the icy water, but the third needed a little professional assistance.
