Ventura, Calif., Sept. 14, 2007– “It smells so gross!” exclaimed Aaron Perez, of Ventura, as he used his shirt to try to reduce the smell of the rotting carcass of a 70-foot blue whale that washed ashore near Hobson Park on Thursday evening. Listed as endangered species, there are an estimated 12,000 blue whales left in the world.
