Frustrated with the evening's activities and more than tipsy, Hannah complains to her friend, Brigid, about her ex-boyfriend at a house party of a fellow classmate, where over 30 kids came to drink, smoke hookah and pot, dance and play beer pong. While house parties are a common thing in Skaneateles, the girls point out that drinking in high school happens everywhere, and that just because they drink occasionally on the weekends, doesn't make them back kids. Despite a drunk-drinking accident that killed one junior boy, and put his friend in state prison for two years in 2004, drinking remains a common part of high school life in Skaneateles.
