For factory worker Anna Maliuta, seasonal work became a a permanent residence permit. 12 years ago she came to Denmark from Ukraine to work on a mink farm. Now, for the first time, she has to deal with something else. Mink has been the focal point of her life in Denmark, and it is hard for her to suddenly have to change her life. “It has not quite dawned on me yet that it will stop. It has been our life here in Denmark. Work was our life,” says Anna Maliuta.
