Children from the village of Gedzhukh ride to a wrestling practice which takes place in the village of Darvag. The van they are in was hired by Darvag's coach Madayev, funds coming from him and some of the parents. It is a common complaint that the sport Federation's and public institutions' help is scarce, if present at all. Only children who showed promise, winning republican and federal championships, receive stipends. Coaches often have to spend their own money or ask for community's support to have their team go to local or federal competitions, buy award trophies and such for rewarding the children, do the gym's upkeep. Some of them go to the wealthy town fellows, usually businessmen, to receive financial help. It is speculated that historically wrestling might have gained so much popularity in the region not least due to the fact that it is cheap: in order to start training a child needs only a singlet and a pair of shoes.
