Nanachara dos Santos, 24, poses for a portrait at her church Herança Divina. Herança Divina is an evangelical sect based in Salvador, Bahia, that mixes christianity with African rituals. It is mandatory for women to shave and cover their head in compromise with God. Nanachara and her 4 year old daughter joined the sect two years ago because she wanted to stay out of contact with violence from drugs inside the favelas in Salvador.
