The girls rehearse the dance before the big song and dance Mari festival. This festival takes place once a year and it is very important for all Vyatka Mari, a small ethnographic group living in the south of the Kirov region. In 2021 the festival did not take place due to COVID and this year everyone is looking forward to it.
