The Alexia/CPOY Project Grant supports students working on long-term photographic stories that inform and inspire change. The Alexia is based at The Newhouse School at Syracuse University. Grounded in truth and the documentary tradition, this category will recognize an in-progress photographic story or essay — being either continued or expanded — that presents an important contemporary concern. Other than portraits, images must be of actual scenes and moments that are not posed, set up or staged. Use of A.I. is not allowed.
