College Photographer of the Year 75 is organized by a team of CPOY Coordinators, Social Media and Website Editors and Director. Additionally, approximately 60 volunteers work behind the scenes to support the staff and judges during judging week.

Hillary Tan: Coordinator
Hillary Tan is a second-year graduate student studying photojournalism at the University of Missouri. Hillary is from Singapore, where he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communications from Nanyang Technological University. Hillary has worked as a staff photographer, photo editor and assistant director of photography at the Columbia Missourian. Apart from photojournalism, Hillary has also worked in corporate photography and as a crew member on video productions.

Yanran Huang: Coordinator
Yanran Huang is a second-year graduate student studying photojournalism at the University of Missouri. Yanran, from Shanghai, China, graduated from MU in May, 2019 with a degree in convergence photojournalism. Before joining the CPOY staff, she worked as a reporter, photojournalist, and multimedia producer in several local news organizations. Her works focus on religion, humanity, legislation issues and sports beat coverages.

Trenton Almgren-Davis: Coordinator
Trenton Almgren-Davis is a first-year graduate student studying photojournalism at the University of Missouri. From St. Louis, MO, he graduated from SLU with a degree in Communication in December, 2019. He has photography experience as a macro botany photo intern for the Missouri Botanical Garden, photojournalist for the alternate weekly the RiverFront Times, and commercial photography for Complete Wedding + Events St. Louis.

Daniel Shular: Assistant Web Producer
Daniel Shular is a second-year graduate student studying Photojournalism at the University of Missouri. Shular has a BFA in Photography from the University of Missouri - St. Louis. After graduating from UMSL he worked as a freelance photojournalist covering politics and social justice movements. In addition to helping with COPY, he volunteers with Pictures of the Year International (POYi) and is a research assistant at the McDougall Center for Photojournalism Studies.

Jackie Bell: Director
Jackie Bell (Director): Jackie Bell is an Associate Professor on the photojournalism faculty at the Missouri School of Journalism, where she has taught for 20 years. Prior to joining the faculty, she was an Assistant Professor at the University of Montana and an Instructor at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. She has 15 years of combined experience as a staff photojournalist for The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel, The Tennessean, The Arizona Daily Star and a chain of magazines in Tel Aviv, Israel. She has worked on national stories as well as international projects in Haiti, Cuba, Israel, and much of Latin America and the Caribbean. She has an MA in Photographic Communication from Ohio University and undergraduate degrees in Spanish Literature and Communications from the University of Michigan.

Elizabeth Underwood: Social Media Coordinator
Elizabeth Underwood is a recent graduate from the University of Missouri with a degree in convergence photojournalism. She is currently volunteering as an editor and photographer for the Columbia Missourian while applying for photojournalism jobs. She started volunteering with CPOY and POY last year. She currently focuses on sport, event and environmental photography.

Jarrad Henderson: Multimedia Moderator
Jarrad Henderson is a two-time Emmy award winning senior video producer for USA Today’s Investigative and Enterprise video unit. Recognized for being a forward thinking, digital savvy, media and video production expert, Henderson helps others pursue their dreams of becoming visual storytellers through his roles as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University's School of Continuing Studies, Multimedia Judge for the Hearst Journalism Awards Program and as the Chair of the National Association of Black Journalists - Visual Task Force. When he’s not working, you can find him at the nearest roller rink, singing along to your favorite R&B artist.
