Martin "Krølle" Madsen is one of the 230 Danes who receive state paid prescribed heroin. Every morning he visit the clinic and injects 130 milligrams of heroin into his body. He has been addicted to heroin for 20 years but he is a newcomer to the program. Knowing that he gets the fix every day he feels a kind of peace in his life he has not experienced before. He hopes it can help him to focus on getting a better life and in the long term become drug free.
