In October 2015 the Muslim graveyard on Lesbos was full and 67 dead boat refugees were stored in a freezing container at the morgue. After several weeks with bureaucracy a new graveyard was established and this is the first burial. Three adults and three children were buried on November the 14th. Three days later nine refugees drowned again on their way to Lesbos. According to the International Organization for Migration 3700 refugees died in the Mediterranean Sea in 2015. 800 of those in the Aegean Sea around Lesbos.
