Nikita (22) When Nikita was 12 years of age she took a kitchen knife to her room. She cannot remember if it bled the first time she cut the thin skin on her wrist but as the years went by the cuts became deeper and deeper. The blood flew and Nikita forgot about her worries and sadness for a while. "When I cut myself, I could give vent to my feelings," Nikita says. Her father was stationed as a soldier, her mother was seriously ill, and her three older siblings were struggling with their own problems. Today, Nikita hasn't cut herself for three years. She thinks it is a big misunderstanding that teenage girls cut them self to get attention. It is as much because they fight with something they do not know how to handle.
