"They didn't kill me, but they have taken my life". Nazar Saad (34) photographed in his temporary home. He only stays the same place for a few months before moving to a new place. He still suffers from severe post traumatic stress syndrome, paranoia and anxiety after he was attacked and stabbed 29 times by two members of the criminal motorcycle club Hells Angels in the restroom of a bar in Copenhagen in 2013. Nazar had been minding his own business in a bar in Copenhagen. After having played at the slot machines for one and a half hour he went to the restroom. Two members of Hells Angels followed him. One holding him and the other stabbed him 29 times with a knife, while a third person blocked the door from the outside. The video surveillance shows one of the HA-members asking the bartender to turn off the surveillance. It wasn't turned on again before Nazar was lying bleeding on the floor. He was sure he was going to bleed to death and started reciting the Islamic Creed while a person trying keeping him alive while they waited for the ambulance. Nazar Saad survived after several blood transfusions and operations. But he defied the doctor's advice and left the hospital after only five days, as was too afraid the perpetrators might come back to kill him. He is still not sure, why he was attacked, but he thinks he might have been confused with a gang member.
