Seven persons, including six laborers and a doctor, were killed and five others were injured in a militant attack in the Gagangeer area of Ganderbal district on 20 October, according to the Inspector General of Police Kashmir, Vidhi Kumar Birdi. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah condemned the attack and said the number of casualties may rise due to the number of injured.
