Tim Nwachukwu is an independent photographer based in Washington, D.C. Tim uses photography and care to capture peak moments of life. His larger intention is utilizing sports to show intersections of policy, cultures, and communities. His previous experiences sent him around the world to cover countless events, athletes, and dignitaries with stints as a Staff Sports Photographer with Getty Images in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as well as a Staff Photographer with Clarkson Creative Photography in Denver, Colorado. Tim was raised by Nigerian immigrants alongside his two older siblings in Louisville, Kentucky. His upbringing and a few bits of good fortune led him to study photojournalism and political science at the University of Missouri, where he graduated with Bachelor of Journalism in 2016.
