Ruth Eichhorn, Freelance Photo Editor and Curator, has edited a range of photo books and organized/curated numerous exhibitions, her most recent, Conceptual Photography in Europe, opened in Bejing in Oct. 2016. Eichhorn worked with GEO magazines from 1988 to 2015, first as Bureau Chief in the New York office of German Geo, and beginning in 1994, as the Director of Photography at GEO magazines in Hamburg, Germany. She lead the department in the shaping of the photographic direction of the various magazines and foreign editions, working directly with contributing photographers from around the globe. She has served as a member on the juries for World Press Photo, POYi, Unicef Photo of the Year and CHIPP (Chinese International Press Photo).
