Claire Nguyen is a second-year undergraduate student studying photojournalism at the University of Missouri. Born and raised in Orange County, California, she misses the beach but has found a love for Missouri autumns. While she’s still figuring out her steps in the journalism world, her work can be found in the Columbia Missourian, the Orange County Register, and Vox Magazine. Claire is excited to come back to CPOY after working as a social media volunteer last year. Previously, Claire was awarded Best News Photography by the Missouri College Media Association and worked as a coordinator for POY. Outside of school, she leads the only photojournalism society at the University of Missouri and works as a photography producer with a student-run marketing agency.
