Hannah is a junior photojournalism student at the University of Missouri. Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Hannah has had a passion for photojournalism since 4th grade, where she served as Editor-in-Chief of her elementary school’s first (and only) newspaper edition. She is coming back to work with CPOY social media team for her third year, and she’s excited to continue in a leadership position. In past years she led the visuals team of MU’s student newspaper, The Maneater, where she won the Missouri College Media Association’s Photojournalist of the Year award. She spent last summer working as a news intern for the Sioux City Journal as both a written reporter and a photojournalist. Although she’s still getting started in her journalism career, Hannah is drawn to stories focused on community, joy and daily life. While not reporting, she enjoys reading science-fiction, collecting vinyl and listening to discographies of new artists.
