Jacob Luebbert is a second-year graduate student at the University of Missouri, pursuing a master's degree in photojournalism. In 2022, Jacob received his bachelor's degree in multimedia journalism. Born and raised in Kansas City, Jacob developed a passion for journalism from a young age. He hopes his work helps build community understanding through empathetic and passionate storytelling. Jacob has previously worked as both a visual journalist and photo editor at the Columbia Missourian, where he photographed and edited everything from political rallies to film festivals. In addition to his work at the Missourian, Jacob has also been a coordinator for Pictures of the Year International. Currently, Jacob is working on finishing up his master's degree and enjoying his first time as a coordinator for CPOY.
